The Soaring Voices of the Balkans is one of the many editions of Eastern Tapestries. It focuses on the vocal traditions of the Balkans and provides a platform to celebrate the beauty and differences of the deeply divided region.  Soaring Voices premiered in Boston on March 4, 2013, as part of the 5th Berklee Annual Middle Eastern Festival. Pletenitsa performed with Bulgarian folk songstess Binka Dobreva, as well as Armenian folk trio Zulal and Russian duo Juliana Svetlitchnaia and Nicolay Grachev. More productions of Soaring Voices are in the works and we look forward to sharing them with you soon!
